As part of an international 5-year ongoing contract to support U.S. government facilities abroad, CoverSix Shelters recently delivered a modular mail screening facility to a remote diplomatic installation in the Pacific region. This facility is one of several being deployed as part of a multi-year agreement to supply mail screening infrastructure for enhanced biological threat protection.
The project involved the design, manufacture, and delivery of an 8’ x 20’ x 8’6” prefabricated mail screening facility. The unit was engineered to serve as a self-contained solution, allowing staff to safely inspect incoming mail in isolation from the main facility. This specific deployment was delivered to a compact embassy compound on a Pacific island, where space efficiency, climate durability, and operational autonomy were key design drivers.

The facility arrived UL-listed, pre-wired, and ready for immediate connection to local power sources, reducing on-site setup time and simplifying integration. Each unit is fully self-contained, or "plug & play," requiring minimal site preparation and no dependence on existing infrastructure.
Flexible Voltage and Configuration:
Available in a variety of national and international voltages, the unit was configured to meet the specific electrical standards of the installation location.
Sea-Container Shippable:
Designed to fit within standard open-top shipping containers, the facility was transported efficiently and without the need for special handling, streamlining overseas logistics.
